A book signature is a collection of folded pages. A group of signatures sewn together are then ready to be bound into a book. These signatures are carefully prepared with the same attention to detail as my finished hand-bound books, giving you a high-quality starting point for your own project. Whether you’re an experienced bookbinder or just starting out, these signatures allow you to dive into the craft and create a custom book that’s uniquely yours. If you’re new to the process, you will receive several pages of information to get you started, plus suggested resources to help you along the way.

For those who prefer a ready-made treasure, I also offer hand-bound books that are 100% handcrafted in my Portland workshop. These books are based on classic works that are no longer under copyright, and each one is made with patience, skill, and care. From selecting premium materials to stitching the signatures together by hand, I ensure that every book is built to last and designed to be cherished for years to come. Unlike mass-produced books, which often rely on machines, each of my hand-bound editions is a true labor of love, with every detail meticulously crafted by hand.
